Ideas for Future Things of the Future <3

This is just random bits I thought of for our setting, lemme know if you wanna use the idea, or if its a bad idea, yadyadayada (yodayodayoda)


First of all, going along the lines of an anti-mutant future, what if everyone wore identification bracelets? Kind of the equivalent to a Driver's License or State I.D., only you're required to wear it at all times, and its how you get into most public places of this time (mostly largely public buildings that have a lot of innocent citizens they want to protect from mutants) Basically when entering like a library or something, the minute you walk through the door, your bracelet (or band I like to call it) is scanned, and it shows up on security computers. So Security know who entered the building at what exact time, and it also tracks when they leave. Identification would also include certain things, like whether or not your a registered mutant (maybe also a threat level?) but of course if you're registered as a mutant, chances are you won't be wearing a band. To remove the band, you actually have to acquire to right tools to get it off (much like if you were handcuffed, you would need the key, or a lockpick).

The number of secured buildings could vary of course, depending on what city it is (like New York would probably have a lot, San Francisco maybe lacking in a few), or maybe how new this security measure is. If it was recently implemented, there could still be a lot of areas unsecured). I'm babbling now xD

So far the only other idea I had is more and more occupations of this time are automated (machine operated), like robotic bus drivers/autopilot (maybe to prevent reckless accidents, I dunno). I'm sure I can think of other such situations, but that's all I have for now.

As for the facility that our mutants have to escape from, I was thinking it would be one holding facility for mutants, located in central US somewhere, like in Kansas or whatever. It could be the standard procedure to take newly discovered mutants here, or certain threat level (maybe new mutants have high threat levels, because their powers have not been identified or whatever) but yeah, those are my ideas so far!

I really like the idea about the i.d bands. Maybe the most buildings will still let mutants in when the band is registered, but the security keeps a close eye on them, and they can probably throw them out for any reason.

The threat level sounds good, too. Like when a mutant registers for their band they have to specify what powers they have and each power is labeled with a threat level, and the more powers or higher level powers you have the less likely it is for you to be left alone or let into certain places?

Anyone caught without a band over a certain age (they can't register for ones before they hit puberty since they won't really know if they are a mutant or not?) can be fined or brought in to a station to be questioned or something. Basically just making it harder for people to get away with not wearing them and keeping track of what kind of threat a person is.

Maybe the reason they are all brought to the holding facility could be because there was something off about each of their bands? Like they got caught using fake ones, or hacked into them and got caught, or in Ember's case are just wrong but she doesn't know it.

So I just picked up a copy of the new Magneto #1 issue that came out today (really good!) and it gave me an idea that we can use if you guys like it. In it there are these robot type deals that are made to hunt out mutants and destroy them. Maybe there can be something like that in this future too, since more robotic things were already mentioned? Made by mutant hating groups and just roaming around random places looking for mutants; they could be able to be hacked or destroyed themselves, giving us another type of enemy to be up against at some point.
